Founder
Late I M Jayaram Shetty, a visionary in his hopes and ideas, was a successful entrepreneur and an eminent politician. He represented the Byndoor Assembly Constituency as an MLA and Udupi Lok Sabha Constituency as an MP and was acclaimed as People’s leader for his humane services
He was a born leader coupled with philanthropic and humanistic attitude and being a great believer of the philosophy that the governments alone cannot solve the problems of the people; he founded the Trust in the year 1995in memory of his parents, Mr. Bhujanga Shetty and Smt. Nagarathna Bhujanga Shetty and named it as MNBS Trust. His natural vision and a passionate urge were to establish an Engineering college in his birth place. His vision found fruition in 2004 when Moodlakatte Institute of Technology was established in the sprawling 60 acres of land at Moodlakatte, After leading the Institution for several years, he passed away in 2014, leaving behind a legacy which has blossomed into an Institution of Eminence in the coastal Karnataka.

Now the Institution is headed by the young and dynamic Chairman, Mr.Siddhartha J.Shetty. Undaunted by the sudden demise of his father, Late I M Jayaram Shetty, he steered the course of the institutions with his inspired goals, facing the problems as challenges and addressing the situations bravely, positively and determinedly with the sole purpose of making founder’s dreams come true. It speaks volumes of his positive attitude and constructive thoughts
Launching new institutions, Moodlakatte College of Nursingin2020, IMJ Institute of Science & Commerce in 2022 and Vidya Academy while constantly reinforcing there sources, physical as well as human, in the campus stand as a testimony to his visionary goals. He is a man of deeds and not words. The outcome of his relentless efforts is visible in the campus in terms of student enrolment, placement and initiatives to shape the students in to nation builders.
With Mr. Siddhartha J. Shetty at the helm of affairs, IMJ Group is poised to become an Education hub in the coastal Karnataka and shine among the ranks of academic institutions of India
